How to Apply for a Sallie Mae® Loan

- Enter Your General Information
- When you reach the School Information section select Texas.
- Under School Name type in Thrust Institute and select “Thrust Institute of Maintenance, Addison, TX 60956996”
- Under Degree/Certificate select Certificate
- When you reach the amount to finance section enter “$39,539.” If you will need housing, apply for “$49,739.”

Using Your 529 Plan for Aircraft Mechanic Training
Starting in August 2025, students can now use their 529 college savings plans to pay for our FAA-certified aircraft maintenance training program.
This major change means you can use tax-free 529 funds to cover tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment needed for A&P certification.
The expansion of 529 plan coverage removes financial barriers and helps students pursue high-demand aviation maintenance careers.
