What is an Airframe and Powerplane License?
An Airframe and Powerplant license is a certification issued by the FAA that qualifies an individual to work independently as an aviation maintenance technician.
An Airframe rating allows a technician to maintain and repair aircraft structures, while a Powerplant rating focuses on the maintenance and repair of aircraft engines and related systems.
Obtaining an A&P license requires completing an FAA-approved training program, gaining practical experience, and passing written, oral, and practical exams.
